Ask Allah to send the HADIYA (Reward) for the DAROOD / SALAWAAT to Nabi Muhammad sal Allahu alaihi wa Sallam.

Then ask Allah Subhana wa Ta Ala to make the meeting take place. INSHA ALLAH.

Arab spring: Ever since a man in Tunisia burned himself to death in December 2010 in protest at his treatment by police, pro-democracy rebellions have erupted across the Middle East.

Let us look at the words in the above sentence and understand what it means. A man inTunisia burned himself to death! In other words he committed suicide! Suicide in Islam is a forbidden act. Committing suicide is to give up all hope in Allah. The whole basis of “The Arab Spring” is based on a sin.

I do not condone the acts of oppression practiced by the rulers of those Arab lands where they are oppressing their own people.

Travel in any Arab land and you will see everywhere giant posters and portraits of the ruler of that land. Yet the authorities will forbid you from taking photographs, claiming it is forbidden. It is alright for the leaders face to be gazing at the citizens, reminding them, that they are being watched! It is not permissible for you to take pictures of holy places. If this is not forced idolatry then what is? The Arab leaders want their people to fear them by having their images gazing over the general public.

Coming back to the Arab Spring, we have found every leader that has his subjects rebelling against him, has refused to stand down and just say, “I am stepping down. Find someone else!” Why is that none of the ex-leaders stood down? Power corrupts! They do not want to be answerable to anyone after they had been ruling with absolute authority. They had the power of either having someone killed or pardoned. They fear that if someone else gets into power, then their fate is at the mercy of the new leader!

If they had not been corrupt, they would not have to fear anyone other than Allah!

Since this article is based on corrupt leaders and idol worshipping, the best example we can take from the Quraan is that of Namrood (Nimrod):

258 Have you not thought of him who disputed with Ibraheem (Abraham) about his Rabb (Lord) because Allah had granted him power?  Ibraheem said: “My Rabb (Lord) is He Who gives life and death.” He said: “I give life and death.” Said Ibraheem: “But it is Allah that causes the sun to rise from the east so you then cause it to rise from the west.” Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Allah does not guide unjust people.

[Quraan: Al Baqara, Chapter 2]

It is Allah who granted the (ruling) power to Namrood as stated in the above reference from the Quraan. It is Allah who granted the power to these rulers today. Allah also has the power to take away the leadership from anyone that He wishes: 

34 And We did try Sulaiman (Solomon), We placed on his throne a body, but he did repent (to Us in true devotion). 

35 He said “My Rabb (Lord)! Forgive me and grant me a Kingdom which shall not belong to anyone after me, You art the Bestower”  

[Quraan: Saad, Chapter 38]

Even Hadhrat Sulaiman alaihi salaam, a Prophet of Allah was tried and he was removed from his throne. Hadhrat Sulaiman was a just ruler unlike the modern rulers of the Arab lands. Then why do these modern Arab rulers think that Allah will not take away their power? 

The Quraan is in the Arabic language, which is their mother tongue. So which part of the Quraan do they not understand? They do not learn any lessons from the Quraan, the Book of Allah. The Quraan gives clear examples for those who want to follow the teachings in the Book.

Since we did mention Namrood in the earlier reference, there is another observation that should be mentioned in relation to Namrood. 

Namrood first built a tower so that he could climb to the heavens and strike Ibraheem’s God. The tower collapsed! Instead of giving up, Namrood used a large chest. At the four corners of the chest stakes were fixed, with a piece of flesh on each point. Then four large vultures, or, according to another source, four eagles, previously fed upon flesh, were attached to the stakes below the meat. Accompanied by one of his most faithful viziers, when they were so high up that they could see nothing in either direction Namrood took his bow and shot arrows into the sky. Jibraeel sent the arrows back stained with blood, so that Namrood was convinced that he had avenged himself upon Ibraheem’s God.  

What did Namrood do? He fired arrows into the sky. What do we see in the Arab Spring or the Afghanistani Spring or the African Spring, or any other “spring”? We see people firing bullets into the heavens. Okay, they may not realize what they are doing, Shaytaan makes them do that. But after being told about the similarities between firing bullets into the heavens and Namrood’s firing arrows into the heavens, the Arabs and especially all Muslims should take heed and not play into the hands of Shaytaan.

Someone asked me that there are Libyans fighting against Libyans. They are Muslims. Are those who are killed martyrs? They are all fighting to control the land, Islam does not come into the equation. The Arabs have reverted back to their tribal squabbles like the days before Islam, the time of ignorance. 

So what is the solution to the problem of being oppressed or of a Muslim killing another Muslim? The solution for the Muslim is to stop fighting another Muslim. The solution is pray to Allah! The solution is the same as that which was suggested for the Palestinians in the article:

You have to go back to the “Time of Ignorance” to find the solution to the problem. The answer is to Read Surat Feel and ask Allah to relieve you of the oppressor(s). Allah will answer the prayer of the oppressed, Insha Allah!

Supposing your mother was being robbed by armed robbers. You are there watching all this happening with your own eyes. How would you deal with the situation. What would be your reaction? You know who the robbers are, what would you do to the robbers? Would you hunt them down? Would you report them to the police? Supposing the police are corrupt, and they are in on the act, then what are you going to do?

Each person reading this article will have almost the same reaction to the situation, if he / she loves his / her mother. You cannot use the excuse, “I was an orphan so I never knew my mother, therefore the situation does not apply to me.” We all have the ability to imagine. We can all imagine the scene no matter who we are, no matter what our background.

Now, let us change the subject from ‘mother’ to ‘country’. We all say “Mother Earth”. Each country has an army to defend the land and its people against aggression and attack from inside and outside. Why do we need to defend our country? Is it because we love our country like we would love our mother?

Now let us put all this in perspective. In every third world country, which includes most of Asian, African, Middle East and South American countries, we find the situation is like I have described above. These countries have rulers, governments and officials that are robbing their own nations, or we could say, they are robbing their own mothers. Remember, that you were given life, on that piece of earth where you govern. So that nation is your second mother. The people of that nation are your brothers and sisters by being born on that piece of land on the earth.

Most of the ordinary citizens in the third world look towards the west to escape from the corruption and injustices in their own countries. The injustices are committed by their own governments and forces, whether they are army or police. That is, the ordinary citizens would like to escape from the third world countries and live in the western countries. Why do they want to escape to the west? What is so attractive about the west. They were not born in the west. They do not have the same customs as the people of the west. What is so attractive about the west? Is it because there is no corruption in the west?

Of course there is corruption in the west too which needs to be cleaned out. However, the average citizen in the west has basic amenities. The average citizen knows what he has to pay in taxes and to which government department. The average citizen in the west is not harassed for bribes by officials.
 
The west does not want third world immigrants, so they guard their borders, to keep out these economic refugees.

My request to the governments, the self imposed rulers and presidents is to ask yourselves, “What can we do for our nation, our people, so that other people would like to emigrate here, instead of our citizens wanting to leave our land?” 

1. You must try and weed out all corruption.

2. Protect your nation and look after it and your nation, and your people will look after you.

3. Your main resource is your fertile land and / or mineral resources and your people, use them wisely for the betterment of every citizen.

4. Remember each one of your citizen is your brother or sister by birth, not by tribe.

5. Stop all nepotism and tribalism so that you select people for posts that are qualified for that job.

6. Provide basic needs to all your citizens like water and electricity and sewage.

7. Provide free education to all citizens up to secondary school level, so that they can think for themselves and contribute positively to their country.

(And there may be other ways that you the reader can think of and maybe add a comment.)

This way, your people will want to stay in their country and do their best for their nation instead of wanting to leave for the west.

If they cannot get to the west, you bring the good points of the west to them!

Today it is the Middle East where the riots have kicked off. Tomorrow it could be in your neighbourhood! So why not change the lives of your citizens for the better, today.

The use of body scanners at airports is a degradation and humiliation of human beings and an invasion of privacy. Sure there are animals out there who will try to smuggle explosives on board an aircraft. But why should that justify invading the privacy of innocent people?

I would like to share an idea with those of you who are interested in how we can have the body scanners removed from airports. If we can put this idea into practice and if it takes off, it will have a massive impact on the use (or disuse) of body scanners. We need to realise that Body Scanners have the initial letters BS! Most decent people do not want this BS!

We do not need to get people to sign any petitions or to attend demonstration rallies. If successful, we can get the body scanners removed from all airports forever.

If you value your dignity, then all we need to do is to make as many decent people across the world aware of this idea so that they can all take part and make a stand on this issue of invasion of privacy.

The idea is quite simple. We should all stop traveling by air for 6 to 12 months! It is that simple. This will hurt the airports, the airlines, the governments, the oil producers, the retail markets. With the airports empty, the aircrafts empty, the fuel not being sold, the governments not getting their tax revenues, no tourism, empty hotels, and there may be other knock on effects, pretty soon all the governments will have to listen to the people who elected them to serve the public, instead of dictating to the people.

The only effort needed on our part is to stop all air travel and to spread this message globally as fast as possible and then sit back and wait! The only way to make an impact and to make our voices heard, is to hurt these governments and industries where it hurts them the most. In their wallets.

Let us not forget, most of the world economies (with the exception of a few countries) are in a recession. All these governments are trying everything they can think of to kick start their economies out of the recession. There is no time like now to make a stand. We can all make a powerful statement by giving up air travel for few months to a year!

If we truly follow this simple request not to travel by air, very soon, all the effects of financial loss will be felt by the governments, manufacturing and service industries, all over the world.

The only difficult part is to spread this message to everyone globally. The positive part is that all this can be done without breaking any laws and without causing any civil disturbances. I would like your views on this idea and whether you can make it happen!
